William was born in the city of Vigo (Galicia) in the year 1997, and at 11 years old, their music journey started. He began his music studies in the Escola da Agrupación Musical de Vincios, a music school where he started to play the clarinet and, later, joined the CMUS of Vigo (2009) where they studied the elementary degree in music. After four years (2013) he finished it and joined the Banda-Escola de Música de Beade, a music band where he played the clarinet for five years. It was in 2017 when William realised that what he really wanted to do with music was compose.

An that's when this journey began. Composing, writing, singing, playing...  William loves everything that you can think of when you read the word music. he takes inspiration from composers such as the master Hans Zimmer (for the orchestral pieces) and Tuomas Huolopainen, creator of Nightwish (for the songs and the metal and rock-ish sounds).

In 2022, William joined the IGMA (Instituto Galego de Música Avanzada) on their Music Production course to adquire the skills necesary to launch his music career and make a name for themselves.

Since his musical career started William has published 3 soundtrack albums: Human KindThe Cosmic Order and Symphony of a Modern World, as well as 2 EPs: In the Night and The Hesebeti War, Chapter 1

If you want to know a little bit more about how William creates music and the tools that he uses, this is your place.

Starting with the software, he uses Mixcraft Pro Studio 9, from Acoustica Instruments, an affordable and good DAW for music production, easy to use, but with a lot of content, specially great for MIDI edition. For the instruments, Will uses mostly Kontakt Player instruments and free virtual instruments, as well as some libraries and instruments from different companies, such as:

  • Albion One Orchestra from Spitfire Audio

  • Albion Solstice (folkloric orchestra), by Spitfire Audio

  • The Orchestra Complete, by Sonuscore

  • Elysium (a synthetic orchestra) from Sonuscore

  • Shreddage HydraAbyss and Drums (electric guitar , bass and drums), by Impact Soundworks

William Khan's workstation

William takes inspiration from many artist and some styles. Among them, you can find Hans Zimmer (film composer), Jack Wall (video game sountrack composer), Christopher Larkin (Hollow Knight soundtrack composer), John Williams... And bands such as EpicaNightwish, Ancient bardsKamelot... And projects and rock/metal operas such as Dark Sarah or Ayreon.

He also likes to create very narrative pieces and scores, so films, series and books are, also, a source of inspiration. Among them, The Stormlight Archive saga by Brandon Sanderson is one of the best examples, but also, Made in Abyss or Blame!
